Pony Pony Run Run- hey you (WAEK remix)

Pony Pony Run Run - Hey You (WAEK Remix) by WAEK

I've been perpetually 21 for the last 4 years, and I just discovered a new game to play at the bars. It started with my friends meeting up with me and asking me if I had got them a drink. Jokingly, I grabbed two random drinks off of the next table and offered it to them. They didn't see the joke, and each downed their beverage right away. Amused by this, I decided to see how long I could get away with exchanging drinks. So I spent the end of the night picking up abandoned drinks and offering them to strangers.

I made tons of friends. But the best part was running into someone who had "lost" one of their drinks, and offering them another one that I had procured.

It was like a drinking-friend-pyramid-scheme.

WAEK is another strong producer from Lyon, France. This track was put together as part of a remix contest. The weird vocals were the first thing to catch me, but WAEK gives them a really solid foundation. Then in the second half he shifts gears, and really brings out the bass. Good stuff.

Mission accomplished on the fireworks. R.i.p. neighbor's recycle bin.

Douze is from Paris, and he's been laying waste to synth tracks for the past year. Before stepping out solo-- Douze worked under (and then with) Kris Menace, and then he co-produced a project with Alan Braxe which hasn't been released.

Owl Vision - Deathstar by Owl Vision

I found a bunch of fireworks that I thought I had lost as a kid. It's full of stuff that hasn't been legal in like a decade. Hopefully I have enough fingers left tomorrow to get a post out.

Owl Vision is from Gothenburg, Sweden. He categorizes his work as 'death electro'.

This morning I found an electric drum set left on the side of the road. Then a few minutes later I found a baby turtle sleeping in the middle of the same road. So the world has thrown 2 more hobbies into my life.

WhiteNoise is a producer from the Netherlands/ Germany. His style is described as a romp through pop culture. It touches on elements from mainstream pop, electro swing, and world music.

Ruthless EP [2011] by DRIVEPILOT

10,000 view as of last night!

And a girl I know just went into treatment for an eating disorder. The weirdest part is that my friend totally called it a year ago, before even knowing her. He's sort of like one of those super intelligent dogs who can sense ghosts and stuff.

Drivepilot just released their new EP, Ruthless. They're from Portland, Oregon-- which also exports granola and lumberjacks. Halo was the highlight track for me.

Grum - Runaway (Nightriders Remix) by Nightriders

Short people may want to be tall-- but they've never stuck their hand in a ceiling fan while trying to get dressed. (happened to me twice this week)

edit: right after I posted this, my friend who's my height came over and borrowed a sweatshirt. While putting it on he stuck his hand into my ceiling fan. It's more serious than you'd think.

Nightrider is a duo from Boston Massachusetts. They both seem to enjoy music, and they probably don't enjoy going to the dentist. (this is the kind of stuff I have to post when all I have is a twitter account to write a bio off of)

Shoreline by SaiR

Interesting phone call last night. My friend broke up with his girlfriend a month ago, but she refuses to leave him alone. During our conversation he jokingly said "maybe I should fake my own death", and the idea has sort of stuck.

I'm excited because this is kind of like 'lying meets professional theater'. But the best part will be when he runs into her a couple months from now, and her having to say "But ______, I thought you were dead?!?" That takes messy breakups to a whole new level.

Sair is from Portugal. I wish I could find more on him

My girlfriend just texted me that she's at the doctor's office with strep throat. I've left a blanket and a pillow out on the front porch.

Mjolnir just hooked me up with their newest remix :D

They say it's "Inspired by summer holiday at the beach (welcoming june for holiday month), beach volley ball, baywatch (babes not hasselhoff), cold beer in the afternoon, wayfarer sunglasses, bikini, sunset driving, etc. Still in a disco mood and we hope u like it :)"

It's free to download. So get on it.

I made the mistake of getting the first sunburn of the summer wearing a tank top. So now there's this weird 'bra' tanline across my chest. The more I've tried to tan it away-- the darker it's gotten.

Blue Sattelite's new EP just released (like 19 minutes ago). My fav's are by Japanese DJ's Kill The Hero and Kido Yoji.

Kauf- when you're out

When You're Out by Kauf

I've been getting headaches lately, so for the past couple days I've carried around a little plastic bag of asprin. Last night a guy saw me taking them at a party, and asked if he could buy a couple. Not wanting to be rude, I let him have 3 pills for $20. Then I left before he realized that they weren't his kind of drugs.

I'm an entrepreneur.

Kauf is a fresh faced group from Los Angeles. Their style is laid back-- which I need because I'm hanging out with my Brazilians friends tonight. It's nice to tailor the calm that comes before the storm.

When I'm at work, I turn the 'safe search' off on google images. Then when porn comes up-- it's totally not my fault.

Slow day in the world of music.
So I'm digging up one of my favorite tracks from a year ago. 'She' is the DJ personality of Lain Trzaska from Sweden. The track was released on an album called 'Orion', which when taken as a whole-- tells the story of an anime style princess who is isolated on a space station.

Clues to how the story goes are on the She website. I'm in awe of the work that went into this.

Bleeding (Forthcoming on Burn the Fire) by Kloé

I had my first eye exam today.
It would be funny if the magazines in the doctor's office catered to near-sighted people. Like the letters would be clear, but then all the pictures would be out of focus. Because that's the world I live in.

I think Kloé is the first female DJ I've had on here. She's from Lyon, France. And I'm having a hard time deciding if her sound is more feminine, or if that's just me reading into it because she's a girl.

I like the direction the song takes around 2:20.

Logo - Junocide (Logo Remix) by Logorythme

I've been sort of MIA. I'm painting the inside of my apartment deep-sea blue, and the process is more involved than I thought. When I met my girlfriend, she had me paint her bedroom walls orange and lipstick pink. I remember it feeling like I was in the waiting room at Nickelodeon studios. But it made me dream super hard for the first couple months.

I really wanted to post a song called 'merit' by Logo, but I couldn't find it online. This track is a little slower, but really well put together.

VoltronixX - XXX (Hope4Dope Remix) Preview SOON ON TOUCHÉ RECORDS by Hope4Dope

It's sweet to be into tattoos if you're a fat guy. You've got so much more room to work with.

We first posted Hope4Dope in January, and now they're releasing their first track on the Australian/Holland label, Touché Records. Considering that these guys are still in their teens, that's pretty awesome. Maybe it's time that you ask yourself how much you've really done with your life.

I suspect it will end with a sobbing-drunk phone call to your mom.

Also out this month is the video for Justice's track 'Civilization'.

Super Nes- m. pythagore

M. Pythagore (Le Parrain) - Alpha Version by Super Nes

Is it littering to let a balloon go?

Super Nes is from Marseille, France. I actually had a chance to exchange emails with him, and he gave me some awesome insight into his new track 'M. Pythagore'.

The song was created for the french dirt biking show 'Ride Me Up', but the actual goal of the track is to explore how classical music fits into electro. He's kept the excessive compression and bass saturation, but it's decorated with classical aesthetics.

This is the first version of the song. A complete version will be released later this summer.

Also coming out this summer is Redial's remix of The S.

Blood Command - On And On Chameleon (Antichrist Remix) by Antichrist

Last night I used the site's official email address just to chat with girls. That's like the blog version of making out with someone in the office supply closet. If I had anyone to answer to, there would be hell to pay.

Antichrist is from Fredrickstad, Norway. Their back story is that the two are androids who crash landed from outer space. After getting into 80's heavy metal on earth, they decided to recreate it with their space-technology. Now they're too busy playing shows to fix up their spacecraft.
I would have expected anything less.
